Bull Horn Elk Call with Expandable 7"–24" Hose — Mossy Oak Camo
Product description
Expandable hose: 7" to 24" for a range of tones and compact transport.
Patented support-shelf mouthpiece lets you produce both bugles and cow calls with low air pressure and consistent control.
Includes the patented blue snap-on reed designed for lasting tension and repeatable tones, plus a protective cap that doubles as storage for spare blue reeds.
Covered in Mossy Oak camouflage and supplied with a single sling lanyard for easy carry.
The bull horn pairs the support-shelf mouthpiece with the telescoping hose so you can vary pitch and tone while still packing it small. The hose compresses for transport and extends for fuller, deeper notes in the field. The cap stores extra reeds so you won’t be without backups during a hunt.
Pros
- Very compact when collapsed
- Easy to produce bugles with little air
- Spare-reed storage in the cap
Cons
- Higher pitch compared with larger-diameter calls
- Learning curve for perfect bugles
- Can feel a bit rigid in cold weather
VerdictA lightweight, packable elk call that delivers believable bugles and cow tones with minimal breath. The expandable hose provides tonal range while the patented support-shelf mouthpiece and blue snap-on reed make reliable, repeatable sounds. Great for hunters wanting portability and variable pitch.

One call that’s all
Hiked in, used it once and an elk appeared at about 80 yards. Works very well and now hangs in camp.

Brother Loves It!
Bought as a gift and he’s thrilled. Sounds realistic, and setup arrived without issues. He’s all set for hunting.

Good call but could be bigger in diameter
Produces a thinner, higher-pitched sound—more like a younger bull. Easy to handle otherwise, but it won’t give the deep, throaty tones of larger calls.

Bull elk speak their own language…
Matches the bugles of local bulls. Lightweight, compact, and the cap holds extra reeds. Didn’t take long to get effective bugles with it.

Practice
Needs repetition to master. I’m not fond of rubber reeds that wear out, but practice helps.

Easy to use
Simple to operate for someone not confident with mouth reeds. The cover caps the mouthpiece and fits on the other end to make it easier to carry.

Collapsible grunt tube is awesome!
Primos makes solid calls. This one is simple to use and mimics a bull elk well. I like that the hose compresses so it fits neatly in my pack.

Sounds great with little practice
Very easy to learn. It’s a bit stiffer in cold conditions, so I hope the rubber reed holds up.

Yet to make the perfect bugle
Takes practice and some breath control. Still working on perfecting the sound but making progress.

Reliable on an early-season tag
Bought it to help a friend. Used it several days on an AZ hunt and it performed well. Packs down light and the blue reeds are easy to use and replace.
