Drive Medical TR39E-SV Lightweight Steel Transport Wheelchair — Silver
Product description
This transport wheelchair arrives ready for use with the main chair body and detachable swing-away footrests. The frame is constructed from durable steel to balance stability and manageable weight, while the seat and back are covered in padded, easy-to-clean nylon upholstery.
Comfort features include lightly cushioned armrests and a 19-inch padded seat designed for extended sitting. The footrests swing out of the way to make transfers smoother and can be removed when folding the chair. The chair uses maintenance-free 8-inch composite wheels for routine indoor travel.
Dimensions are designed for tight spaces: back height about 18 inches, seat height 19 inches, overall width approximately 21.5 inches when open and about 8 inches when folded closed. The chair supports up to 250 pounds.
For storage and transport, the upholstery handles allow the back and seat to fold flat. Intended for assisted transport or short, independent moves, this model comes from a long-established mobility brand and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

It arrived mostly assembled; I attached the footrests and had it ready in minutes without instructions. It lifts folded with one hand and fits easily in a car trunk.

Stable and Light — Verify Dimensions
Well built and very stable, so it feels safe to push. It’s also surprisingly light for carrying and storing. Note that it runs narrow — check measurements to make sure the seat fits your needs.

A Real Difference for Outings
This chair allowed my grandmother to enjoy a full day of shopping without fatigue. It maneuvers smoothly through crowded aisles and folds up easily for the car. Construction feels secure and the seat padding stayed comfortable after hours of use.

Not Self-Propelled; Brakes Inaccessible From Seat
Compact and lighter than other chairs we tried, so easy to transport. However, the brakes are on the back wheels and can only be operated by the person pushing. The seated rider cannot self-propel or set the brakes, so it didn’t meet our needs.

Solid Transport Chair for Small Users
Great for smaller individuals—smooth rolling and easy to fold. Footrests hook on and off quickly. Locks hold it in place once set. If you’re over about 130 pounds you may want a larger model.

Slim, Lightweight and User-Friendly
I bought this for my wife who can no longer walk without help. The frame feels well made and the narrow wheelbase easily passes through our doorways. There are small leverage pedals near the rear wheels to help lift the front over thresholds. It has a seatbelt, the upper back can be lowered, the padded arms are comfortable, and the footrests swing away for transfers.

Great Chair, Few Minor Drawbacks
Assembles easily and folds in two steps. Rolling is smooth and it’s light enough to lift into a small car. Footrests must be removed to fold and there’s no storage for them. Also, you need to bend down to manually engage the rear brakes.

Dependable, Lightweight for Elder Care
Bought quickly for an elderly relative who needed transport right away. Lighter than alternatives, easy to load, and the brakes feel secure for transfers. Good overall reliability for daily use.

Practical Folding Wheelchair
Fits the intended purpose well and is light enough for lifting into a hatchback. Maneuvers well, though the front wheels can catch the footrests when reversing in tight aisles.
