SONOFF Zigbee Wireless Push Button (SNZB-01P) Smart Switch
Product description
This SNZB-01P wireless button must be paired with a Zigbee coordinator or hub to function. It is not a standalone Wi‑Fi switch; it communicates over Zigbee 3.0 and exposes single press, double press and long press events you can map to automations or scenes.
You can assign custom actions to each press type so one button can control multiple devices or trigger complex scenes from your smart home platform or app. When used with a SONOFF Zigbee hub it can also trigger Alexa routines directly.
Built in a compact plastic housing, the button ships with a magnetic wall plate and an adhesive pad so you can stick it to surfaces or magnetically detach it as needed. It’s small and pocketable for portable use around the house.
The unit is compatible with Zigbee 3.0 hubs and should pair with any coordinator that follows that standard — examples include SONOFF NSPanel Pro, ZB Bridge Pro, ZBDongle‑E, or third‑party Zigbee coordinators used with Zigbee2MQTT or other firmware.
It can function as an emergency alert trigger: pressing the button can send a notification to your phone if you configure an alert automation. Power comes from a CR2477 coin cell; SONOFF’s internal tests estimate up to five years of battery life under typical conditions, though real‑world longevity will vary based on usage patterns and environment.
Pros
- Three configurable press actions (single/double/long)
- Works with Zigbee 3.0 hubs and DIY integrations
- Magnetic and adhesive mounting for flexible placement
Cons
- Requires a Zigbee hub — not plug-and-play with Wi‑Fi alone
- Direct pairing with some hubs (e.g., Echo 4) can be unreliable
- Magnet mount can be a bit weak for frequent handheld use
VerdictA small, versatile Zigbee button that lets you run multiple automations from one device. It supports the three standard press types (single, double, long) and works well with many Zigbee 3.0 hubs and DIY integrations like Zigbee2MQTT or Home Assistant. Expect easy mounting with the magnetic plate and adhesive pad, reliable operation for most users, and very long battery life under normal use. If y

Handy for Alexa + Tuya/SmartLife setups
Used Alexa to create routines for my Tuya/SmartLife devices. Clickes are firm but comfortable. The magnetic mount and included 3M pad hold well. Placing a few of these in strategic spots simplified common tasks. Great if you use Alexa as your routine engine.

Pairs quickly and works with Home Assistant
Easy to pair in a HUE/Zigbee setup running Home Assistant in a VM. Works reliably. You can generate YAML automations (even via AI helpers) to handle single/double/hold conditions for different behaviors.

Overrides sensor logic exactly as I wanted
I run it through Home Assistant and Alexa; it overrides a contact-sensor automation so the garage light stays on when needed. Works perfectly—only gripe is the magnetic mount could grip a bit stronger; it can pop off if brushed.

Small Zigbee button, perfect for automations
Very useful for controlling devices and automations without wiring. Compact and discreet, responds quickly over Zigbee. Excellent when used with Home Assistant: multiple press types let you assign several actions to one button. Requires a Zigbee coordinator and a few minutes to set up automations.

Product good but received one instead of two
Good product, but my order contained only one unit instead of the two I expected.

Simple setup, useful three-action button
Works smoothly with my SmartThings hub and app—no extra software needed. You get single, double and hold actions mapped to routines; there’s a slight lag sometimes. The magnet sticks to my washer so I can toggle the utility sink light (single press, double for 30 min, hold for continuous).

Good quality, easy Home Assistant integration
Paired with Zigbee2MQTT by enabling permit join then powering the button. Range has been solid between basement receiver and a second-floor light. I made automations: single press toggles and starts a 2‑min timer, long press toggles without timer. Bought a second for another room.

Useful for heating control, needs a hub
App setup was a bit fiddly and presses sometimes didn’t register until a reset. I use it to control heating zones: one press for downstairs, two for upstairs, hold for hot water. Works anywhere but requires a Zigbee hub (I use Samsung SmartThings).

Does what it should, easy to mount
Does what it’s supposed to do and is convenient to attach!

Excellent Zigbee button — stable and fast
Very reliable with Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant. Integration was straightforward and it’s been rock solid. Press recognition (single/double/hold) is accurate and response is quick. Build quality feels good, battery consumption is minimal, and it mounts magnetically or with the included pad.

Reliable, pairs with SmartThings easily
Bought these to control lights and plugs with different press patterns. SmartThings detected them without extra apps. Solid build, not flimsy; batteries still fine since December 2024. Highly recommended, especially in the 2‑pack.

Doesn't pair easily with Echo 4's Zigbee hub
Marketing is confusing — the button didn’t pair with my Echo 4 even though the Echo supports Zigbee. eWeLink won’t add the switch without a Zigbee hub present, and Echo can’t be added there, so you need an extra coordinator. Avoid if you want a single-button solution to directly trigger Alexa routines.
