Infinity Gauntlet: Marvel Team Card Game — Thanos vs. Heroes
Product description
Set in the Marvel mythos, this compact card game pits a lone Thanos against a team of heroes trying to stop him from assembling the six Infinity Stones. The box contains themed character and action cards, stone tokens, life/score markers, and a rulebook with setup and turn structure. Components are printed on sturdy cardstock and include a cardboard token sheet for tracking Stones and life totals. The game supports 2–6 players and recommends ages 10 and up.
Play proceeds in short rounds: Thanos attempts to gather Stones or eliminate heroes, while the other players share roles and play cards to damage or disrupt him. Team members combine their abilities, use deduction and timing, and coordinate to prevent Thanos from reaching his win condition. Because rounds are quick, multiple matches are easy to play in a single sitting, making it a good choice for game nights and family gatherings.
Pros
- Fast, replayable rounds
- Clear one-vs-many tension
- Accessible for new players
Cons
- Solo Thanos can be tricky to master
- May not engage every group
- Team balance varies by player count
VerdictThis adaptation takes the core deduction and speed of Love Letter and expands it into a tense, cooperative-versus-solo showdown. Games are brisk and easy to teach; the Avenger roles encourage coordination while Thanos plays a distinct, satisfying antagonist. It’s especially rewarding with 4–6 players, delivers strong replay value, and works well for casual groups and families, though a few session

Improves on the Original
I prefer this take on Love Letter because it avoids early player elimination. Instead of sitting out, everyone remains engaged until the game ends. The Marvel theme is a bonus; if you know the original it's an easy transition to understanding this one.

Solid Spinoff
Excellent spinoff of the original concept that stands on its own.

One Against Many
Short, snappy rounds that are great if you know Love Letter, but newcomers will be fine as well. One player is Thanos, the rest are Avengers. Because games are quick, you’ll play several in one session and can keep a running score easily.

Very Entertaining
Our family really enjoys this. It’s a clever twist to have a whole team facing one player. A great perk is that you don’t get eliminated and stuck watching early on.

Favorite Love Letter Variant
I love the original Love Letter for its simplicity and quick rounds. This version keeps the same approachable pace but adds a balanced team twist: one person is Thanos and everyone else cooperates to stop him. It’s slightly more complex than the base game but still easy to pick up in a single playthrough.

Great for Two or More
I expected a simple reskin but this felt more involved and engaging. The concept is familiar but the execution makes it more tactical and highly replayable.

Best Love Letter Yet?
This edition splits players into two clear teams—Thanos vs. Avengers—which revitalizes the formula. It’s ideal for fans of short, deductive team games that are simple to teach, set up, and put away.

Not Engaging for Us
I wanted to enjoy this more than I did. We tried different group sizes and combinations, but the game didn’t hold our attention the way I’d hoped. It hasn’t made it back to the table for us.

Perfect for MCU Fans
If you enjoy the Marvel films and quick card games, this hits the mark. Rules come together fast and matches move briskly; we enjoyed several rounds in a few hours. Thanos can be hard to win with at first, but he becomes a challenging and fun role once you learn him. Avengers’ abilities are intuitive and teamwork is essential.
