Product description
Includes two PONY 55 Pro clamp fixtures; black pipe is not included. These units accept standard 3/4-inch black pipe of any length so you can tailor clamp span to your project.
Each clamp is die-cast iron for durability and long life. The clamp face measures 2-1/8 inches across, giving a broad bearing surface for boards and panels. A multiple-disc clutch mechanism provides high clamping pressure and a fast, dependable adjustment.
The fixture sits on a 2-3/8-inch high stand to keep work raised off the bench and provide a stable base during glue-ups. A coil spring helps prevent slippage and maintains alignment while you position pieces.
An adjustable handle lets you increase clamping force as needed. Assembly is straightforward: thread onto 3/4-inch pipe, set your work between the clamping faces, then engage the clutch and tighten the handle for a secure press.

Classic quality still evident
Made in China with QC oversight in the U.S. I have a 1970s unit and can’t see a drop in durability. Very good overall.

Well-built clamps with useful feet
Known brand with solid construction and a saddle that keeps work off the bench. These are fairly heavy, but the build quality and function make them worth it for demanding shop use.

Only threads a couple turns; had to tap
Good quality, but my pipes only engaged two threads. I had to use a pipe tap to open the threads so the fittings would seat properly.

Spend a bit more and you get useful features: sturdy feet to keep stock off the bench, strong clamping for cutting boards, and a rugged feel. I expect these to last a long time.
