Paper Mate InkJoy 100RT Retractable Ballpoint Pens — 20 Count, 1.0mm Medium

Product description

What’s included: a bundle of 20 retractable ballpoint pens from the InkJoy 100RT line. Each pen has a medium 1.0mm ballpoint tip designed to produce clear, consistent lines. The set contains ten distinct ink colors, with two pens provided in each shade, to give you a broad palette for notes, highlights, and illustrations.

Construction: pens feature lightweight plastic barrels and metal ballpoints fitted with InkJoy’s fast-starting fluid ink so strokes begin smoothly. The retractable click mechanism readies the tip with a tactile click—no separate caps to manage. The design is made for quick access during classes, meetings, or everyday tasks.

How to use: ideal for everyday writing, journaling, color-coding notes, and casual artwork. The medium 1.0mm tips balance legibility and control, producing lines that aren’t too bold. Keep a few in your bag, desk, or pencil case for reliable, colorful writing on the go.

Pros

  • Smooth, fast-starting ink
  • Ten vibrant colors in a 20-pack
  • Retractable, no caps to lose

Cons

  • No cushioned grip on barrel
  • A couple of pens may need extra priming
  • Two of each color, not twenty unique shades

VerdictThis 20-count InkJoy 100RT pack delivers dependable, medium-point ballpoint performance in a rainbow of ten shades. The pens retract with a click and offer a fast-starting, low-drag ink formula that makes long writing sessions easier. Color variety and consistent flow make them handy for school, home, and creative projects, though some users may prefer a molded grip for extended comfort.

Reviews

    Solid everyday pens

Bought these for daily writing and schoolwork. They write smoothly without skipping, the colors help organize notes, and they’re comfortable for longer use. Having 20 in the pack means plenty for home and school.

  2. ANS 5/5

    Perfect for middle schoolers

Very good pens for school. My kids and their friends all enjoy them, and the color selection is a hit.

  3. Kelly Eagan 5/5

Good option for art and notes

I bought this set for artwork because of the color range and reliable point size. Lines aren’t too thick, the ink resists smearing, and so far none have leaked; the colors remain crisp on the page.

  4. Marye 5/5

Pretty colors but a little awkward at first

No soft grip on the barrel made long writing sessions uncomfortable at first. I expected 20 unique colors but got two of each of the ten shades. I was disappointed initially, but after using them in my journal I warmed up to their feel and performance.

  5. MA.A 5/5

    Smooth performance, great hues

They write very smoothly and the colors look vibrant.

  7. Amber Walker 5/5

Smooth writers that help sore hands

These glide nicely with minimal smudging. I find them comfortable even with arthritis and carpal tunnel, and they’ve survived being tossed in bags and left in different temperatures without leaking.

  8. Lydia S 5/5

Reliable and colorful on the job

As a server I get compliments on these all the time. They’re inexpensive, write smoothly, and the bright colors are fun. I haven’t had customers complain about any not working.

  9. Stephanie Gravelle 1/5

Not the branded InkJoy I expected

I suspected it, and these don’t seem to be the genuine InkJoy model I’m used to. They’re colorful ballpoint pens, but not the same as my previous InkJoy pens.

  10. S Taylor 4/5

Nice variety but some pens were stubborn

I liked having many colors and two of each shade. The pens were packaged to keep ink fresh, but a few were hard to get flowing at first. Most started fine after a bit of use; the brown pens worked particularly well.

  11. Abbey 5/5

Exactly as shown — no complaints

They arrived as pictured and perform well. No negatives to report.

  12. Bonnie 5/5

    Great color range and performance

I enjoy writing with these. Ten color choices and twenty pens in the pack make them versatile, and they perform like other good ballpoints. Affordable and recommendable for color lovers.
