Ohcool Timothy Hay — 1.1 lb Dust-Free Natural Hay for Small Pets
Product description
100% natural timothy grass, harvested and packaged as a single 1.1 lb pouch intended for small herbivores. The product is grown without chemical treatments on an organic-style ranch and contains mainly first- and second-cut timothy depending on the batch.
Formulated to deliver a high-fiber feed with balanced fat and protein, this hay helps picky eaters, youngsters, seniors and convalescing pets. It’s recommended as the primary forage source for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and small tortoises to support tooth wear and gastrointestinal health.
When introducing this timothy hay, swap it in gradually over several days to minimize digestive upset. Store in a cool, dry place and reseal the bag after opening to maintain aroma and texture.
The product emphasizes more leafy material and fewer flower heads, offering soft leaves and long, crispy stems that aren’t sharp. A hot-air dehydration process is used to remove moisture while keeping the leaves green and preserving nutrients and fragrance.
Because of the drying method and selection of cuts, the hay tends to be less dusty and has a mild, baked-grass scent. Each bag contains only timothy hay with no additives; use it straight from the pouch or in a hay feeder.
Pros
- Grown without chemical treatments
- Hot-air dried to retain green color and low dust
- High fiber mix supports dental wear and digestion
Cons
- Bag-to-bag cut and texture can be inconsistent
- May be pricier if used as the sole hay source
- Not every pet or wild animal will accept it
VerdictA fresh, all-natural timothy hay option that prioritizes leafiness and low dust. Great for domestic rabbits and other small herbivores that prefer greener, tender hay; quality can vary between shipments and it may not appeal to every animal.

Exploded and outside purple paint is peeling when I opened it... 5/5
They ate every strand
I was unsure at first, but both my buns cleared the bowl. They normally sort through hay, but treated this like the best pieces—much less waste. I'll buy it regularly.

Very fresh and fragrant
Much better than brands we've tried. Bright green, crisp stems and a pleasant hay aroma.

Ruby's favorite hay
My rabbit Ruby loves this. Very little leftover, she pulls it from her feeder and eats everything. Fresh quality and I keep reordering—she even enjoys the sample packs.

Some pets may be picky
My guinea pig prefers traditional hay and only nibbles this. No dust and no coarse pieces, though, and it stays fresh when sealed tightly.

Inconsistent quality between bags
The first bag was first-cut and my rabbit loved it. The second arrived chopped into mostly thin stems and he refused to eat it.

Piggies finish their hay now
My guinea pigs eat every bite. It's expensive if it's the only hay, but I prefer giving them something they truly enjoy and that’s healthy.

Not suitable for wild rabbits
Wild rabbits here in Florida ignored it, wet or dry, and deer wouldn't touch it either. Ended up thrown out; also disappointed it was sourced from China.
