Handcrafted Buffalo Leather Journal — Top-Lock Deckle 6x4
Product description
Genuine buffalo leather, handcrafted to age gracefully — The cover is cut from genuine, cruelty-free buffalo hide that is naturally oil-tanned and finished without chrome. The leather is worked by experienced artisans and will darken and soften over time, acquiring a distinct distressed patina that makes each copy unique.
Two hundred pages of heavy deckle-edge cotton paper — The journal is supplied with 200 sheets (200 GSM) of handmade cotton paper featuring natural deckle edges. The stock is substantial to minimize bleed-through and accepts fountain pens, calligraphy nibs, watercolors, acrylics, pastels and other wet or dry media, making it suitable as a sketchbook or mixed-media notebook.
Recycled, handcrafted watercolor-ready pages — The deckle-edge paper is produced from recycled cotton fibers and has a textured, handmade feel. It’s intended for sketching, watercolor washes, acrylic touches, pastel work and general mixed-media use — versatile enough to be used like a sketch pad or watercolor sketchbook.
A thoughtful, ready-to-give present — This leather journal makes a meaningful gift for writers, artists, travelers, graduates or anyone who appreciates vintage-styled stationery. It’s appropriate for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and just-because surprises and arrives ready to present.
Use it how you like — The compact 6" x 4" format slips easily into a purse, backpack or coat pocket so you can carry it everywhere. Suitable as a daily diary, gratitude or prayer journal, travel log, Book of Shadows, dream diary or artist’s sketchbook — adaptable to many creative and personal uses.

Well made but page count issue
Construction is solid and I like the journal, but mine arrived with only 160 pages instead of 200. I counted several times — 20% fewer than advertised is disappointing.

High quality and handy size
I love this — excellent quality and just the right size for a junk-journal scrapbook. Smaller ones I bought elsewhere weren't as nice. It even has that fresh leather scent.

Great craftsmanship, fits the aesthetic
Bought it for my daughter’s medieval vibe and it was a big hit. The cover and binding are soft but sturdy and the distressed pages match the look. I misread the size so it felt smaller than I expected, but workmanship and scent are excellent.

Artisanal look, made for creatives
This journal feels genuinely handmade; the paper has a tactile, artisanal texture I missed in the photos. It’s ideal for someone who wants to sketch, paint or write with a more crafted notebook than a standard pad.

Ideal for a creative journal
I use it as a vision-board journal, printing images on sticker paper and adding them inside. Smaller than I first thought, but once I settled on its purpose I loved it. Durable leather and a lovely aged look; I didn’t test bleed-through.
