13-Piece Motorcycle & Bike Chain Breaker and Riveter Kit with Case
Product description
Practical use: This chain breaker kit is designed to remove and reinstall roller chains on motorcycles, bicycles, ATVs and small engines. It handles hollow-nosed master link pins and common roller chain sizes from 35 through 630 for breaking and removal.
Operation: The set breaks chain pins and can press master link plates. It supports pressing master link plates on chains up to 530 section and can remove or install excess links or locking clips when used with the correct punch. To use: select the right-sized driver, back off and tighten the threaded shaft carefully, and use a punch with the link popper tool to force the pin through the opposite side.
Construction: Components are made from hardened steel for strength and extended service. The kit contains a heavy-duty chain press frame plus handles, levers, multiple anvils and riveters, springs, press plates, and three driver pins (2.2 mm, 2.9 mm and 3.8 mm) to match common chain pin diameters.
Storage: Parts come organized in a blow-molded plastic case with snap-in slots for each piece and an open-top design that fits most toolbox drawers so small parts won’t roll loose.
What’s included: chain press tool, threaded handles, removable levers and anvils, riveter attachments, springs, assorted press plates and three driver pins (2.2, 2.9, 3.8 mm). Follow standard chain-prep practices (grind off pin heads and lubricate threads) for best results.
Pros
- Covers roller chain sizes 35–630
- Comprehensive 13-piece set with multiple punches and anvils
- Neat blow-molded case keeps parts organized
Cons

VerdictA complete entry-level chain breaker and riveting set that covers roller chains from 35 to 630. The kit includes multiple punches, anvils and press plates to drive or set rivet and master-link pins, and it stores neatly in a blow-molded case. Useful for occasional home mechanics and many motorcycle chains if prepared properly, but users report mixed durability under heavy or repeated professional

Well-equipped and effective with prep
I used this on a heavy 520 chain and it worked great after proper preparation. Grease the threads, choose the correct diameter driver, and grind the top off the chain pin before pushing. With those steps the kit held up and did the job.

Useful but fragile pins
It completed my motorcycle chain job, but I had to grind the rivet head first or the pins would bend. The kit is straightforward to use, but the driver pins could be stronger. Got me back on the road, but I wouldn’t rely on it for frequent heavy use.

Surprisingly solid for the cost
Case holds everything securely and the main press felt solid. Multiple anvils and punches worked well on a 530 chain after I ground the pin heads. It can push out and set links, but prepping the pin beforehand makes the process smoother and reduces wear on the tool.

Not great finish
The coating started to wear off on first use. Functionally it worked, but the surface quality was disappointing.

Fine for occasional jobs
Driver pins bend easily, but for an occasional repair it’s acceptable. Don’t expect heavy-duty longevity.

Opción económica y simple
Lo compré como regalo; se ve económico y algo resistente. Ideal para tareas ligeras en casa, pero no esperes rendimiento profesional.

Not recommended for motorcycles
Components bent or broke when used on a motorcycle chain. The pins bent inside the housing and the riveter pin failed after first use; an anvil also snapped. Probably fine for small bicycle chains, but avoid for serious motorcycle work.

Do it slowly and lubricate threads
Tool will perform if you take your time. One pin on an anvil broke and that oddly helped alignment, but alignment can be finicky. Grease the threads and the flare tool tip, align carefully, and watch a few tutorial videos if you’re new to chain work.

Not suitable for heavy motorcycle work
As someone with shop experience, I found the small tooling pieces are mild steel and broke when trying to flare hardened chain pins. The C-frame is beefy, but punches and drivers crumbled under load. Might work on light bicycle or moped chains, but don’t expect it to handle forged, hardened motorcycle rivets reliably.

Buena relación calidad/valor
Cumple con lo esperado y ofrece una buena relación entre calidad y lo que cuesta. Adecuado para trabajos caseros.

Does the job if you're careful
Worked exactly as needed for my chain replacement. I ground down the old rivet head first, used the tool to push the pin out, then riveted the new link. Take your time—tighten, back off and recheck to avoid overdriving the rivet. No printed guide, but there are plenty of how-to videos. Everything arrived in a handy plastic case and the threads were pre-lubed.

Performs like pricier kits
My previous expensive tool snapped, so I tried this one and it handled three different chain sizes including a 630. Everything stayed secure in the case and the kit performed well. No manual included but there are videos online that demonstrate use.
