2-Pack Flexible Downspout Extensions — Extend 21–68 in, White
Product description
Protects foundations: Each extender can be lengthened from about 21 inches up to roughly 68 inches, allowing you to route stormwater well away from your home to reduce pooling near the foundation.
What’s in the pack: Two expandable downspout sleeves plus removable adapters and mounting screws are included so you have everything needed to attach them to existing downspouts.
Fits common gutters: Designed to work with both 2 x 3 inch and 3 x 4 inch rectangular downspouts. The removable adapter lets you snap or screw the unit onto different sizes without cutting or trimming.
Durable build: The connection collar is made via ABS injection molding for a tough interface, while the extendable section is a firm PE plastic hose that maintains its shape when handled properly and resists tearing under normal use.
Simple installation: No professional tools required. Slide the adapter onto your downspout, fasten with the supplied screws to help keep it clamped in place, and extend the sleeve to the desired length to route water away from landscaping and foundations.
Pros
- Extends 21–68 inches to move water away from foundations
- Includes adapters and screws for quick DIY installation
- Fits 2x3 and 3x4 inch rectangular downspouts
Cons
- Thin plastic can degrade in constant sunlight
- Flexible hose can kink if bent sharply
- May require reattachment after heavy impact
VerdictA budget-friendly set for diverting rainwater away from vulnerable areas. They’re easy to install and adaptable to different downspout sizes, but the thin plastic can degrade in full sun and may need replacement in a couple of years if left exposed.

Exactly right
Just what I needed — simple and fits my gutter setup.

Some assembly required
Arrives partly assembled without instructions. There are two plastic pieces that must be screwed into the main sleeve. Pull the open end, insert the short tubular adapter and turn to thread it in, then thread the smaller rectangular adapter into that piece.

Not durable
It works initially but deteriorates quickly and breaks down.

Two-size adapters — read before installing
Very easy to put together once you know there are two different screw-in adapters. Both thread on, one larger than the other to match different downspout sizes. Took a minute to figure out but installation was straightforward after that.

Does the job
Materials feel inexpensive and may last a year in harsh conditions, but you get two extenders and they perform as expected.

Too flimsy — failed in real use
Looks fine out of the box but the plastic is thin and collapses instead of staying open, especially after rain or a slight step. They also popped off in a heavy shower and kinked, blocking flow. Needed constant readjusting; not reliable for long-term use.

Held up about two years in sun
Bought three sets in Feb 2023 and checked in Mar 2025. They diverted water well and the flexibility helped avoid tree roots. One tube on the west side crumbled after two years of direct sun; shaded ones are still fine. For longevity I may bury it to limit UV exposure.
