Cyalume White 6" Emergency Glow Sticks — 8-Hour SnapLight Pack of 10
Product description
Each purchase contains a pack of ten 6-inch white SnapLight glow sticks. The sticks are single-use chemical light devices activated by bending the tube to break an inner ampoule, then shaking to mix the reagents and start the glow.
The tubes are made from durable, flexible plastic and the internal chemistry is non-toxic. They are non-flammable and waterproof, making them safe for use in rain, puddles, or during floods without risk of combustion.
When activated they produce a bright white-ish light for up to eight hours under typical conditions. The glow intensity is best for ambient illumination, marking locations, reading in low light, or serving as road/scene markers rather than acting as a focused spotlight.
They’re compact and lightweight — easily stashed in a vehicle emergency kit, backpack, or bug-out bag. Each stick can be hung from its end or placed with the foil wrapper used as a reflector to better direct the light.
Intended uses include camping, hiking, power outage lighting, automotive emergencies and general preparedness. The design emphasizes reliability and safety compared with traditional burning flares, while offering long shelf life for stored kits.

VerdictThese 6" white SnapLight sticks deliver dependable, battery-free illumination for up to eight hours. They won’t replace a high-lumen flashlight for focused beams, but they excel at ambient lighting, s

Good lifespan
I tested one on my security camera: turned it on at 6:45 PM and footage shows it dimming around 8:30 AM the next day. My kid verified the clip. Solid addition to emergency gear.

Works but not as bright as green
They function well, but the brightness drops after an hour or so. Greens seemed noticeably brighter and longer-lasting to me.

Genuine and effective
Authentic product that lights instantly and holds brightness for many hours.

Warm white tone
Almost white with a slight yellow tint, which made colors easier to distinguish. Brightness faded after about six hours but remained usable for a couple more hours.

Reliable light when you need it
These 6" sticks are lightweight, simple to use and last about eight hours. During a blackout they lit a small room comfortably without harsh glare. Waterproof and battery-free, they’re a dependable backup for camping or emergency kits. Not as intense as a flashlight, but ideal for ambient or safety lighting.

Top-quality, though a bit costly
I’ve used these for years. They’re bright, long-lasting and come in many colors. Only downside is that a pack of ten feels small for the price, but the quality is evident.

Great for night diving
Picked these for night scuba dives and they worked perfectly. Bright enough for multiple nights if frozen between uses. Recommended for night-water activities.

Good for emergency kit
Bought these for a storm kit and prefer the white. The hanging feature is handy and shelf life is great. They won’t replace a flashlight, but they’re bright enough to make you visible, help read maps, and last through most nights.

Bright, long-lasting
I keep these in my bug-out bag and vehicle—bought a mix of red and white. They snap and shake to activate and take a bit more force than toy glow sticks, which I like for storage safety. The light leans toward a pale blue-white and is bright enough to read a paperback in a dark room. Using the wrapper as a reflector helps reduce glare.
