At-Home FIT Colon Screening Kit — Single-Test Fecal Blood Check
Product description
Clinical-grade stool screening: This at-home FIT (fecal immunochemical test) is designed to detect occult blood in bowel movements, an indicator that may warrant further GI or colorectal evaluation.
Complete single-test kit: The package supplies a prefilled collection tube, a lateral-flow antibody test cassette, and a disposable collection paper/applicator, plus illustrated instructions to guide sampling and the testing procedure.
Fast, easy-to-interpret readout: After processing the collected sample, the cassette develops within about 10 minutes. Two lines indicate a positive finding (blood detected); a single control line indicates a negative result.
High analytical sensitivity: The immunoassay targets hemoglobin and can identify concentrations as low as 45 ng/mL, providing clinical-grade sensitivity appropriate for screening use.
Regulatory status and intended use: The test is CLIA-waived and cleared for at-home screening, allowing users to obtain rapid, medically relevant information from the convenience of home and decide whether further diagnostic follow-up is needed.
Pros
- Includes all materials for one complete test
- Quick visual result in about 10 minutes
- Sensitive antibody-based detection to 45 ng/mL
Cons
- Single-test packaging — no backup sample
- May produce false positives or negatives requiring follow-up
- Not a substitute for diagnostic colonoscopy
VerdictA simple at-home fecal immunochemical test that helps identify hidden blood in stool. The kit contains everything needed for one sample, uses antibody chemistry for sensitive hemoglobin detection down to 45 ng/mL, and gives a quick visual result in roughly 10 minutes. CLIA-waived and cleared for home use, it’s useful for routine checks between professional screenings.

Test showed positive; follow-up colonoscopy removed two polyps. It alerted me to a real problem.

I chose this single kit because it looked easy. After ordering I learned I had to delay testing due to recent NSAID use, so I needed to wait a few days. On the allotted morning I prepped the collection paper but became constipated from the stress and didn’t produce a sample. The paper stayed on the bowl all day and a splash of water wetted it, which made me nervous about contamination. I also saw the warning about avoiding testing while constipated. In short, I wish I had purchased two so I’d still have one when plans go awry.
