XL Stainless-Steel Turtle Basking Platform — Clear Polycarbonate for 18–20 in Tanks
Product description
Compatibility: Measure the tank opening before ordering — this platform is designed to span aquarium widths from 18 to 20 inches.
Non-slip ramp: The access ramp features a partially hollowed profile to improve traction and make climbing easier. For extra safety the package includes a slip-resistant mat to secure to the ramp surface. The ramp is engineered to hold turtles of varying sizes and provides stable footing from water to deck.
Polycarbonate deck: The lounging surface is made from high-transparency polycarbonate, allowing strong light transmission so the basking area stays bright and warm. The clear material keeps your pet visible during rest and contributes to a neat, modern appearance in the aquarium setup.
304 stainless-steel construction: The platform’s top frame and base are formed from 304 stainless steel, chosen for resistance to humidity and aquatic environments. Those metal parts are easy to wipe clean and built to last, offering a hygienic surface for your animals.
Expanded activity area: The platform increases the usable surface inside the tank, giving turtles a dedicated dry zone for sunning and resting. It also opens up new viewing angles for keepers and helps enrich the animal’s environment.
Assembly: To protect the product in transit it ships partly disassembled; a simple assembly process takes only a few minutes and an instruction sheet is included to guide installation.
Anti-escape side panels: Both sides of the ramp are fitted with raised guard panels to discourage climbing over the edges. This design minimizes the chance of a turtle exiting the aquarium and helps prevent injuries or losses.

Built to last
Wish I’d bought this earlier — it’s solid and not flimsy at all. My turtle Shelly stretches out and loves it. Very sturdy fit and finish.

Impressive build but check measurements
Returned only because the large overhung my 29 gal tank — it’s truly big. Out of the box it looked like top-tier construction: heavy, quality parts, and a ramp with excellent grip. If it had fit I would have kept it. Friendly return process, but measure your tank carefully against the specs.

Excellent addition to my 50 gal
Placed this on my 50 gal for a red-eared slider. Strong materials, easy assembly, and a perfect fit. My turtle spends most of her time on it.

Solid quality, great for sliders
Set up was straightforward and the build is very sturdy. It cost more than some alternatives but feels worth it. Took me about 45 minutes to assemble with no major issues. My male red-eared sliders climb on it with no problems.

One of the best basking platforms I’ve used
Very well made and simple to put together. My turtle loves the new spot. I wish it were a bit taller (about 10 in) and slightly longer so she could wander more, but it’s taller than many others and the fine mesh top lets light and UV through. I added reptile carpet and a silicone grip mat with zip ties to help the ramp. I also secured my T5 UVB lamp to the mesh so it stays put.

Well made but not used by my species
Looks great and feels secure; very easy to assemble. My mud and musk turtles rarely leave the water so they ignore it, but that’s on them. One caution: if your tank has a top crossbeam you may not be able to set the platform flush to the rim without the ramp sitting close to that plastic; I ended up adding a 3/4" strip to extend the rim so the screws reached.
