USB 7+R H‑Gate PC Racing Shifter — Wheel-Compatible Gearstick
Product description
Compatibility
This USB racing shifter supports a wide range of PC steering wheel bases, including many Logitech models (G29, G27, G25, G920) and Thrustmaster T300RS/GT. It presents itself to Windows as a USB device and is intended for use with driving simulators on PC.
Installation and cable
The unit is plug-and-play for Windows XP, 7 and 10, requiring no special drivers. A 1.5 meter USB cable is supplied so you can position the shifter where it’s most comfortable on your rig or cockpit.
Construction and size details
Internally the mechanism uses stainless steel components for strength, while the outer shell is formed from an aluminum alloy for durability and a solid feel. The shift knob is mounted on an M8 threaded rod, giving room to change knob height or swap knobs to suit personal preference.
Game support
This shifter functions with many popular racing titles such as Dirt, WRC, Assetto Corsa, Live for Speed, Euro Truck Simulator and Project Cars. A notable limitation: Steam versions of Forza Horizon 4 and Dirt 5 are currently not supported.
Personalization and comfort
The top knob is removable so you can replace it or adjust rotation height via the M8 thread. The metal body and hardware are designed for long service life and to accommodate user modifications for a customized driving feel.
Pros
- Broad wheel and game compatibility
- Robust metal construction
- Removable M8‑thread knob for customization
Cons
- Relatively loud and mechanical feel
- USB‑C socket can be prone to loose fit
- Some users report calibration or gear detection issues
VerdictA budget-friendly 7+R H‑gate shifter that delivers firm, mechanical-feeling shifts and broad compatibility with common PC racing wheels. It’s built from metal with stainless steel internals and an aluminum alloy shell, and the detachable M8 threaded knob lets you tailor feel and height. Plug-and-play on older Windows versions and supplied with a 1.5 m USB cable, it’s a solid choice for sim fans wh

Solid shifts but some wear and noise
Replaced my G920 shifter with the 7+R. Shifts feel solid and reduce accidental reverse, but it’s noisy and a bit clunky. After a week the left gate edge showed wear; I’ll sand it down. Also found one loose top-plate screw.

Highly recommended
Totally worth it. If undecided, go for it — outperforms my Logitech shifter.

Performs well
Works great overall. A tad loud but performance was better than expected.

Sequential adapter arrived damaged
The shifter itself works, but the sequential adapter piece was broken on arrival. I only need the small plastic part with the magnets — hoping for a replacement.

Good value but USB-C fit problem
Works well for the price and gives a positive mechanical feel. A bit clunky and noisy. The USB‑C socket doesn't grip cables tightly and can disconnect under heavy use unless secured.

Doesn't work — very disappointed
Stopped working and I didn’t receive a refund. Very disappointed.

Great budget option for modders
One of the better cheap shifters for modification. Springs are heavy but replaceable. Uses hall sensors so no mechanical switch wear. PCB looks to have a programmable header and extra pads for buttons. Slightly off-center but solid after adjustments.

Doesn't work straight away
Build feels average and the manual is poor. My 7th and reverse won’t register and calibration fails. Sequential mode is hit-or-miss. Returning it due to hassle.
