TOGGLER TB Drywall Toggle Anchors — 20-Pack for 3/8–1/2 in Walls
Product description
These are hollow-wall toggles molded from polypropylene and supplied in a 20-count pack for use in residential drywall.
Each kit ships with twenty plastic toggle anchors and matching #8 x 1-1/2" screws. The anchors are sized for 3/8" to 1/2" wall thickness and accept #6 to #14 fasteners depending on the application.
Installation is a single-person process: drill the specified hole through the board, insert the toggle body flush to the face, drive the activation pin to flip the wings behind the panel, then install the screw and hang the fixture. The toggle is positioned and secured inside the cavity before the fastener is added, enabling fixture changes without removing the anchor.
Performance data: with a #8 x 1-1/2" screw in 1/2" drywall the ultimate tensile strength is 143 lb. For safe working loads, follow local codes and use no more than one-quarter of the listed maximum capacity. These anchors are intended for medium-duty hanging tasks where stud mounting isn’t available. Made in the USA.

They failed on me
Many anchors wouldn’t flip and pulled out making large holes, while others shoved into the wall when trying to open with the key. Extremely disappointing performance.

Great for guitar wall mounts
Bought to hang Hercules guitar holders and they’ve been perfect. Installation was straightforward and the package includes everything needed. Anchors feel solid and handle electric and acoustic guitars without worry. Recommended.

Avoid the included plastic key
Once activated they hold well, but the little plastic key often snaps. I use a metal punch sized to the pin instead.

Held my closet organizer for years
These toggles kept my whole closet system up for years with no studs involved. I used them for a ceiling curtain track and a heavy mirror too — no sagging. Installation is drill, set anchor, and push the pin; I use a wood block to push the pin since it can be stiff. The flange keeps the anchor from slipping into the drywall.

Very strong but activation is fiddly
They hold a lot and won’t pull out, but the red plunger is awkward. I use the smooth end of a drill bit held in pliers to push it. Removing them leaves a big hole, so plan accordingly.
