Product description
Designed specifically for metal straws with a 6 mm (1/4 inch) outside diameter, these covers are molded from food-grade silicone. The material is BPA-free and formulated to be odorless, so it won’t add smells or chemicals to your drinks.
The soft silicone keeps lips from directly touching the cold or hot metal and provides a gentler surface than bare stainless. The tips are flexible enough to bite lightly without fear of chipping teeth, and they create a barrier that reduces the metallic flavor some users notice with metal straws.
The set includes ten colors (black, clear, yellow, red, orange, rose red, blue, green, wathet, purple, Lake Green) with four pieces of each shade for a total of 44 tips. Note that only the silicone covers are supplied; metal straws must be purchased separately.
Each tip measures about 30 mm (1.18 inches) in length and has an inner diameter of approximately 6 mm (0.2 inches / 1/4 inch), sized to slide over 6 mm outer-diameter straws. It’s recommended to replace the tips periodically—every three months is a good guideline—to maintain hygiene and elasticity.
