Sdanart Scroll Pinstriping Brush Set — 3 Professional Script Brushes
Product description
Premium scroll painting brushes crafted from a curated blend of natural squirrel hair, wool and durable nylon. The combination provides strong pigment absorption and a supple tip that helps produce even, flowing strokes, making it easier to achieve refined lines and improve technique over time.
This pack contains three brushes in sizes #1, #2 and #3, giving a graduated range for fine details and slightly broader striping work. The varied diameters let you pick the right tool for tight curves, parallel strokes or script letterforms.
Designed for tasks such as arcs, circles, corner work, extended straight lines and directional turns, these script brushes are aimed at scroll striping, sign lettering and logo outlines. They’re intended to create precise, controllable lines for decorative and lettering applications.
The brushes perform with watercolor, acrylic, oil, gouache and ink, and are suitable for use on canvas, paper, painted rocks, ceramics and many handcrafted surfaces. During application you’ll notice consistent pigment flow and a smooth delivery that assists in maintaining steady lines and clean edges.
Also referred to in the trade as pinstripe, liner, scroll or lettering brushes, this set serves well as a pinstriping kit, long-liner set or script/quill style brushes for detail work and sign painting.
Pros
- Good pigment pickup and smooth ink/paint flow
- Three sizes for precise control across tasks
- Works on many paints and surfaces
Cons
- Bristles are fairly soft — not rigid enough for everyone
- Heavier paints may need thinning for best lines
- Occasional variability in hair texture between sets
VerdictA versatile three-piece kit that delivers smooth pigment release and fine control for lettering, logos and decorative striping. The mixed natural/synthetic bristles give good paint pickup and flowing strokes across many media; however, some users may find the hair softer than expected. Overall a solid choice for beginners and experienced sign painters who want delicate, controllable lines.

Not sure what to use them for
I’m not an expert and expected stiffer bristles. These are very flexible and thick; I’m unsure beyond getting into tight spots.

Disappointing hair quality
Bristles felt coarse and not suited for fine striping. I can't recommend them.

Excellent for fused glass
As a glass artist I struggled to get steady lines before. These held the paint well and produced consistent strokes on glass—great for fused pieces.
