Dr. Brown's TempCheck Silicone Baby Feeding Spoons — 4-Pack
Product description
Check a baby's meal temperature using just the spoon tip. Each spoon includes a heat-sensitive section that becomes clear when the surface temperature reaches approximately 105 degrees Fahrenheit (40.56 degrees Celsius) or above, providing a quick visual warning before feeding.
The spoons are molded from 100% soft silicone so the bowl is gentle against tender and teething gums. Their shallow, flexible scoops are designed to deposit purees and soft foods comfortably into small mouths while helping infants learn to accept solids.
A long handle gives extra reach for jars and bowls and prevents fingers from getting messy. Each spoon also features an elevated rest near the tip so the head sits off the table when set down. The set contains four spoons in rich purple, teal, blue and red colors.
Care is simple: these utensils are dishwasher and sterilizer safe and are manufactured without BPA. Use by dipping the tip into the food and observing the color change before offering food to baby; the silicone construction also makes them suitable for gentle self-feeding practice.
Pros
- Heat-sensitive tip for quick temp checks
- Soft, flexible silicone gentle on gums
- Long handle with raised rest reduces mess
Cons
- Smaller bowl may not suit older infants
- Some food stains over time
- Handle balance can feel uneven to some users
VerdictThese silicone feeding spoons combine safety and practicality: the temperature-reactive tip gives a quick visual cue when food exceeds about 105°F (40.56°C), the flexible shallow bowl suits small mouths and sore gums, and the extended handle with a built-in rest helps keep surfaces cleaner. The four-piece set in assorted tones is easy to clean and holds up to regular use, making it a smart pick fo

Good but a bit expensive
Works well and is a good size for first spoons, but I found them pricier than expected.

Shallow bowl works well
Perfect depth for starting solids. I used them when my daughter was 4.5 months and she still uses them at 7.5 months. Other spoons with deeper bowls were harder for her to empty.

My go-to baby spoons
Really like these — prefer them to other baby-led weaning spoons. My daughter enjoys holding one and scooping food to her mouth. The temp indicator is a nice safety touch.

Handy option for spoon feeding
One of our favorites. The color-changing tip is useful, but what I like most is the smaller shape that fits our little baby and the long handle that keeps our hands cleaner when he grabs the spoon.

A must for new parents
Absolutely love them. The tip changes when food is too hot and returns to color when it’s safe. My baby likes to play with them too.

Good for early weaning
Worked well for roughly 1.5 years, but after many dishwasher cycles the silicone began to wear and we eventually switched to metal utensils.

Very practical for introducing solids. I don’t regret buying them and would purchase again for another baby.

Excellent starter spoon
Flexible, small tip is gentle for teething babies. Color change for hot food is useful. Fits baby hands for self-feeding, though weight feels uneven and the handle tends to tip.

Worth every cent
We love these. Our daughter feeds herself often and the color-change tip is very handy. After six months they’ve held up well aside from some food discoloration.

Helpful temperature indicator
Nice color-change function and muted colors I prefer. Non-slip handles make them easy to hold. I still check temperature myself, but the tips give extra reassurance.

Top pick for new eaters
I adore these spoons for my six-month-old. The temp feature turns the tip white if food is too hot. They wash easily and the shallow bowl is great for sliding food into the mouth.
